My new craft, sewing, recipe blog

If you don't know me, I love to sew, craft, and cook. I do not want to post everything that I make on my family blog so I started a new blog where I will post all my latest creations. I bookmark and pin soo many things that never get completed so I am hoping this new blog helps me complete more projects. Maybe inspire other people out there in blog land!

You can stop by my new blog at Making Things for Boo, Cat, and Bam. I have only posted a few things so far, but I have been enjoying it and love having my own spot to put my projects.

Christmas 2011 Part 3

I have always bought my girls Christmas dresses. I decided to make them this year. I made my two nieces matching dresses too. I love how they turned out. The girls like them!

Christmas 2011 Part 2

On Christmas day, we went to the station and ate dinner with Ben. The crew made a yummy dinner for us. The girls had a blast playing at the station. Caemlyn loved talking to anyone who would listen and then they were her new best friend. It was nice to see Ben and he did not get one call while we were there (which is a miracle and a first). Ben's Dad followed Brooklyn around and it was a nice break for me!

Christmas 2011 Part 1

Christmas is my most favorite holiday. I love November and December, because I can play Christmas music and watch all the Christmas shows. As it gets closer to Christmas, the girls and I drive around every night Ben is working and look at Christmas lights. We drink lots of hot chocolate and junk.

Santa came to our house a day early since Ben worked Christmas day. One of the things we bought the girls is a tub of 1600 legos. Santa's elves stayed up very late making towers for them to see when they woke up. We turned our coffee table into a lego table and the girls like it. Our kids loved everything that they got and have been very busy playing with everything new. Ben's Dad was able to come spend the holiday with us and the girls are loving the time they are spending with him.

We bought a real tree this year and I LOVE it. We will never have a fake one again. Brooklyn experienced the tree falling on her and burying her alive. She is a bit scared of the tree after that. We were able to decorate the tree again since all the ornaments fell off. I wish I got a picture or video of it happening. It was really funny.

Addison's winter concert

Addison sang a couple of Christmas songs in her winter concert this year. We watched the performance during school and in the evening. She was very cute and sang very well!

Caemlyn's ballet recital

We signed Caemlyn up for ballet class this year and she loves it. They had a recital at the zoo during the zoo lights (Christmas lights all over). She keeps telling me "Everyone thought I was amazing, right?". She did awesome and then she did not want to get off the stage afterward. We could not see her on the stage in the front so we decided to go up high and watch from behind. I did record it, but you can only see the backside of her!
Getting ready to perform!

She would not get off the stage when she was done

The family!

We were glad that Ray and Jana were able to come. Ray just got back from Iraq and we love seeing him!!

Terrible twos, horrible threes!

I am in the process of making photo books for each of my girl's first two years of life. I love making them and looking at all the old photos. I decided to look on the blog to see if I could use any photos and I came across this post title Trouble. It was when Caemlyn was Brooklyn's age and was in the terrible two phase. Ben and I both think Brooklyn is by far are craziest child. She has no fear and has already had two minor concussions, a chipped tooth, lots of bumps, bruises, and blood. It made me laugh when I read this post about Brooklyn, because it is exactly how Brooklyn acts. I guess they did act almost the same at this age :)

This is part of the post that I wrote about Caemlyn:

How I love her even when she is:
-Coloring on anything and everything throughout my house
-Dipping her cup in the toilet to get a drink (lucky addi actually flushed the toilet for once)
-Washing herself in the toilet water (what is the obsession with the toilet)
-Sitting on the kitchen table
-eating the dog food
-spilling every snack that I give her onto the floor and just walking away
-saying no to me all day long
-touching everything she is not suppose to touch
-hurting Addison
-this is a new one: giving me this look, angry look, that says "i refuse to do anything that you tell me to do." and runs the other direction laughing. (she stares at me with this new stare for about a minute and then runs away)

I do have to say that Brooklyn has never dipped her cup into the toilet and drank it or rubbed destin from head to toe. She does do other things like get into my makeup, lotions, and her poopy diapers every single day, but we still love her!

Addison turns 7!!

Addison had a great birthday this year. She has been asking to get her ears pierced so we let her do that this year for her birthday. She was very nervous about it. We kept telling her that she would be fine since she never cries in shots. (Seriously, she does not care about shots. She is more brave than me!) Afterwards, she let me know that getting your ears pierced hurts a lot more than shots. She was very brave and did not cry.

 All done!
 Sisters!

We also had a family birthday party. For birthdays, the birthday person gets to pick what to have for dinner and what kind of cake they want. Addison picked pizza and I made rainbow cupcakes with nerds on top. She had a great birthday!

Addison was spoiled. One of her presents was rollerblades
Happy birthday!

My niece's baptism

It was a special day today! My niece, Lorelai, was baptized. Ben was able to baptize and confirm her, which was very special. All the girls loved watching the baptism. I am glad that we were able to be a part of it. My mom flew down for the weekend for the special event.

Day 3 of California

We enjoyed day 3 of California by going to Legoland. The girls had a blast and loved riding the rides.

Addi was the only brave one to stand next to the lego guy

The girls received their drivers license. Cam was a pro driver...she really was!

Addison wanted to pose with everything!

This ride goes upside down and wildcrazy ways! Addi was so excited to go on it. Since she was so short, she was a level one and they only did it back and forth. Addi still loved it!

The other girls got brave and stood next to the pirate lego guy

We put Brooklyn on a leash (yes, we are one of those parents) and she kept crawling around like a dog. At least I didn't lose my crazy child!!

A for Addison!

They are worn out from the day and the whole trip!
