Trip to the zoo

As you can see we go to the zoo a lot. It is very nice to have a membership :)
Today we got to watch Addi's friend, Katie. Besides my girls, she is the cutest little girl. It was so nice to have Addi entertained for the whole day. And the girls play so well together and get along great. I decided to get out of the house and take them to the zoo for something fun to do. Addison and Katie had so much fun. They got to see all the animals and feed the giraffes. They also got to get stamps all over their arms of the animals that they saw.

Summer Fun

People keep talking about how summer is over and it is fall now. Last I checked, it is still summer, at least in Tucson. It is still over 90 degrees here. Where is the cooler weather?! I am waiting to wear my hoodies and sweaters! Anyways....

The girls had fun swimming in their little pool today in this hot weather that we have.

My birthday celebration

I just celebrated my 25th birthday. It was a very nice day.
I got to hang out with my friend, Chrissy, and we started sewing dresses for our girls. It was fun to be able to hang out and Addi had a blast playing with her friend, Katie, all day. Chrissy and Conan were so nice and offered to babysit Addi and Cam while Ben and I went out to celebrate. And we even made it back by Chrissy and Conan's bedtime :) Thank you for babysitting!!!!
Marjory and Joseph took us out to my birthday dinner to Golden Dragon (best Chinese food). Then we ate a very good ice cream cake from Coldstone. It was a lot of fun.

This is my yummy cake
Hanging out by my cake...my left over Lo Mein is there too (sooo good!)

I just put this tutorial on my crafty blog, but I liked it so much I thought I would share it on this blog too.

I made one of Addi's plain t-shirts into a dress. Click Here for the tutorial.

Ha ha ha...busted into the all consuming blog!

So, Katie usually walks around with a camera in hand waiting for the perfect moment to strike, catching myself or our kids in some strange or embarrassing situation. ( Most situations involving me are G-14 classified, and withheld for the greater good ;) or so I like to think.) While our kids are very entertaining and fun to watch and document....wait is this 'Gorillas in the Mist' or our home life? Anyhoo, Katie has been so busy lately blogging and getting all crafty like with the glue and thread and paper and stuff and stuff, that she's neglected to get herself onto the blog much. So I, being her thoughtful and loving husband, will attempt a feat few married men seem to accomplish...the elusive 'blog post' (duh duh duuuuuhhhhh). (Please take note that I love to use parentheses and ... whatever those are called...yeah) Yes that's right, I'm going to even try to get a photo or two onto this here thing.

So the picture was a fail...I snuck up on the sleeping Katie-Did and snapped my photo only to find out she's a lighter sleeper than she usually lets on. Carnage ensued. And to top it off I couldn't even find the cable to get the pic off the camera and onto the computer. So just imagine an angry picachu, and you've got my pic. And thus ends the epic battle of Ben and the Blog.

**Edited by Katie: So I just looked at that nice picture that Ben took of me sleeping and he is lucky that he couldn't figure out how to get the picture off of the camera. And yes, my husband took a sleeping picture of me, those are never good. I think I was asleep before my kids last night. Staying up late for the past three weeks finally caught up to me!! I guess I should do my schoolwork, website building, and sewing at nap time instead of at bedtime (even though I like to do those things at night)**

The morning started out nice...

Last night I found out that I only had two diapers left. Ok, not a big deal, only need one when Caemlyn wakes up in the morning. I was planning on going shopping to wonderful walmart at the crack of dawn (have to beat the crowds) anyways.

The girls and I get all ready this morning, we leave the house and I start getting the girls into the car. I look down and found this....yes my car is very dirty. I live off a dirt road, what is the point of washing it?!

Nice!!! Ok, I know how to change a flat tire on little cars, whats so different about my huge rig burby (thats her name). I can change that tire, except that the tire is as big as me and weighs a ton. Then I come to find that we don't even have a jack so I am really not changing the tire.

At this point I forgot about only have one diaper left So no big deal we just stay home all day, make Ben change it when he gets home tomorrow. Then I remembered my problem...wow, what to do? Search everywhere for a diaper! I did findd two more and two swim diapers. I can make it the rest of the day! I was ready to wrap Caemlyn in some of my old t-shirts...such a great mom I am willing to sacrifice her awesome t-shirts for her child!

My Cute girls!

Here is a picture of my skater girls (Ben will be so proud!). They were playing on the skateboard together. It was really cute so I had to take a picture of it.

Trouble!

My sweet Caemlyn. The terrible twos has gotten to my sweet Caemlyn. I was hoping it would skip over her.

How I love her even when she is:
-Coloring on anything and everything throughout my house
-Dipping her cup in the toilet to get a drink (lucky addi actually flushed the toilet for once)
-Washing herself in the toilet water (what is the obsession with the toilet)
-Sitting on the kitchen table
-eating the dog food
-spilling every snack that I give her onto the floor and just walking away
-saying no to me all day long
-touching everything she is not suppose to touch
-hurting Addison
-this is a new one: giving me this look, angry look, that says "i refuse to do anything that you tell me to do." and runs the other direction laughing. (she stares at me with this new stare for about a minute and then runs away)

Then she smiles and how can I punish her!

Addi's Storytime

This story was recently told by Addison. Enjoy!

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING STORY DOES CONTAIN SOME VIOLENCE! RATED PG-13 FOR VIOLENCE AND MAYHEM!

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess name Addison that lived in a castle. The witch came and took Addison to her castle where she locked her up. The three pigs came to save Addison. They fought the witch and she dies. The monkeys wanted to die too because they wanted to stay with the witch. The three little pigs had to fight the monkeys. They cut off the monkeys heads and they died. The witch gave Addi an apple and she was suppose to die. The End.

I promise I do not subject my daughter to violent things. Sure her favorite movies right now are the Wizard of Oz and The Battle of Endor (Ewoks do rock). Addi's favorite thing to do is to grab a book, any book, and tell me a story. Her stories usually contain violence and mayhem. Not to mention that they don't really make sense. I'm not sure if I should be worried, but we encourage that imagination to keep on working hard (All of her imaginary friends encourage it too so they can stay with us)
