Father-Daughter Sock Hop Dance

The girls had so much fun at the father-daughter dance. They did a sock hop theme this year. I made poodle skirts for my girls and my two nieces. My brother was awesome and took my nieces to the dance.

Picacho Peak

In Red Rock, we are lucky enough to live next to Picacho Peak, which is a great place to hike. The weather was perfect and it was a great day to hike. We all had fun. We went as far as the little ones could handle!

Phoenix Coyotes vs New York Islanders

Ben and I had an awesome date last night! We went to our first NHL game up in Phoenix. The game was a lot of fun to watch and the Coyotes won. We ate at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for dinner since it was next to the arena and had great food there. I did learn a couple of things from my first NHL experience. 1) Remember a jacket. The ice arena is cold. Gloves are nice too and 2) Some hockey fans are a different breed. After the game, we went for dessert at my favorite place, Rita's Water Ice. I was a little dissappointed in the lack of flavor choices (Maybe the new Rita's have less flavors than the ones out east...I don't know), but it was still yummy!
