Let the adventure begin!

For the next six months, Ben will be working 8 to 5 Monday through Friday...a normal schedule. He just finished Hazmat class and has been working the "normal" schedule for the past 6 weeks. I can honestly say that I do not like it. I really enjoy his six days off and only working 10 days a month. He started paramedic class today and will be doing that until September. I know that he will do awesome!

I thought that this was really cute and had to post it. Ben was sitting on our bed studying and Addison went and sat down next to him. She gave him a big hug and said:

Addison: "Good luck in your class tomorrow. I know you are a little nervous and that's ok. I am a little nervous to go to the dentist tomorrow. You will do good job."

Ben thought I coached her to say that to him, but I didn't. She did it all on her own. So cute!

Trip to the Phoenix zoo

We had a great time going up to the Phoenix zoo with some friends. The girls had a lot of fun!

This turtle was headed in the wrong direction. Quint was so brave to save this turtle and help it go in the right direction. This is one lucky turtle :)
My cute girls!
I made all the kids get into this kangaroo. They love it
Cason, Gavin, and Brooklyn
Addi, Tristan, Shane, and Caemlyn
Addi petting a goat
Caemlyn had to pet every goat
The kids really liked to milk this fake cow. Weird, right?!

Caemlyn is stuck!

This is what happens when you stick your arm in between the bars on my kitchen chairs. And this is not the first time that she has done this...

This is what happens when her arm is really stuck and it just won't come out... my poor chair

Trip to Las Vegas

In January, we were able to make a trip to Vegas on Ben's last six day. We stayed with Ben's grandparents. It was really nice to visit with them. The girls loved staying at their house. I am glad that they finally got to meet Brooklyn. We were also able to visit some friends and hang out, which was a lot of fun. Addison loved playing with her friend Pammie.

Ben playing in the wheel chair with Addi. This is a lost dog that found us.

Our friend told us about a really cool park to go to. It was awesome. I loved playing on it! Ben's grandma brought an amazing picinc spread for us to eat.

On the move!

Brooklyn is 8 1/2 months and on the move. She started rolling everywhere and then moved on to army crawling. Now she is crawling fast all over the house. I have caught her playing in the dogs water many times. She has also started pulling herself up and she loves to stand up. Brooklyn is going to be a climber, just like her daddy. She tries to climb on top of everything.

Getting into trouble
Brooklyn is always so happy
My cutie!
Poor Brooklyn...Addi and Cam like to put Brooklyn in the baby crib and pull her around the house. She seems to like it.

I love my Dad!

I have been neglecting my blog so much just because of this post. I have been debating whether I should even post anything about this or not, but I decided to just mention something and move on.

I always knew that my Dad was great. He always worked hard to provide for his family, but always took the time to be with us. After my Dad passed away, I did learn that he really made an impression to a LOT of people. I mean a LOT of people...from all over. It was really neat to read the emails and facebook messages pouring in and the effect he had on so many people. He was definitely loved, a friend to all, and will be greatly missed.
