Phoenix Zoo

Yesterday we took the kids up to the Phoenix Zoo. We really liked that zoo and all the fun things to do. Addison favorite part was the petting zoo and Pammie's favorite part was the Little People Farm. I think the kids had fun, they all fell asleep on the drive home, were asleep by 8pm, and slept in this morning. It must have worn them out!

Trip to the fire station (and day three)

Ben is working his 24 hour shift today and I have to admit that I was a little worried taking care of all the kids (plus a sick one) all by myself. Thank goodness Caemlyn is feeling much better and not so clingy today. And watching all the kids by myself was very easy. I only had to be a referee a few times!! The four year old that I am watching (Pammie) says some funny things to me throughout the day, so I thought I would post a 'Pammie Quote'.
"You know what, I love my mommy and daddy more than my brother, Will, because they are always with me. But, Will is not always with me because he is at school all day long."

Pammie was asking all day if we were going to go to the fire station. Ben finally called in the late afternoon and said that we could come by. So I packed all the kids up and drove to the station. The kids loved it and loved running around the bay.

Here are some pictures of our day and the station (I am posting quite a few pictures for the kid's parents so they can see what we are up to).

Second day of fun!!

And our fun continues with day two! I didn't spend today like I thought I was going to. I took Caemlyn to the doctor and left Ben with the four kids. Poor Caemlyn has her first ear infection and I guess it is a bad one. Ben had fun with the kids. He let them have free range of the living room and the toys, and also let them go swimming in our new kiddie pool. Pammie told me today that we have the silly house. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing...

Here are some pictures that I took of the kids playing outside.

And the adventure begins!!

For the next nine days, I decided to blog about this new adventure...taking on three more kids (four year old, two year old, and nine month old baby)! Addison is so excited to have another girl around to play with. And they came up to me tonight and said "We decided that we are going to be best friends".

Our friends are going out of town and we are helping them out by watching three of their four kids. Heather drove down from Vegas today and dropped off her kids late this afternoon. These kids are so cute and I am looking forward to watching them.

So serving dinner for five kids instead of just two feels like a lot of work. And I have decided that boys are definitely more destructive than girls! But, overall, the first night with five kids was easy. Four of the kids went to bed awesome and fell asleep right away. Caemlyn is sick (very grumpy) and got to hangout with Mommy the rest of the night.I asked Ben to take the PM shift off tonight to help me get all the kids to bed the first night, but he didn't get home until they were all in bed already. But, at least he has a good excuse...he was stuck fighting a fire. Hopefully it will be this easy the whole time :)

I will keep posting about the rest of our week and our fun adventures!

Will the baby be a boy or girl?

The baby is waving and giving high five!

All week people have been giving me their opinions on if the baby will be a boy or girl. Well, we have the results. We went and got the ultrasound today. Everything is developing perfectly and the baby is at a perfect size right now. We are so glad that the baby is growing really healthy and strong. So, the baby is a girl! 99% sure that it is a girl. We will have three little girls running around (poor Ben, so outnumbered). We are very excited and just can't wait until July when we can hold Baby Girl.

Poor Care bear

I wonder what this poor Care Bear did to deserve this kind of punishment?? Apparently, he messed with the wrong four year old...

Celebrating Caemlyn's Birthday

We had a nice time celebrating Caemlyn's birthday. We had a BBQ with lots of yummy food. My sister and brother-in-law, and also some of our friends were able to come over and celebrate with us.
