A dress for Addison

I just finished sewing this dress for Addison. After seeing Caemlyn's, she really wanted me to sew her a new dress and this is what I came up with. I don't know if I love it, but Addison does love it so that is all that matters!

A dress for Caemlyn

This is the dress that I made for Caemlyn. Don't look at it too closely or you might see all my mistakes :)

Addison really liked this dress so I am off to start making another one!!

Another scar for Caemlyn!

Only 18 months old and Cam has another scar...that is two now! I didn't see what really happened, but Addi let me in on all the details. According to Addison, Cam slipped and hit her face on the corner of the firetruck flashlight. Very sad! But, she is doing great and doesn't even complain about it. I think I was more freaked out than she was.

Funfetti Cookies

I found a new recipe for cookies that are so yummy! And so easy to make. Addi and I made the Funfetti cookies and took them to Ben at the station and the firefighters inhaled them.

Go buy the Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix and the recipe is on the side of the box. I will give it to you too!

1 box of Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
1/2 can of Betty Crocker Rainbow Chip Frosting (this frosting is so good, but is not in all grocery stores. You can also get the Funfetti Frosting)

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and eggs; stir with spoon until thoroughly moistened. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. With bottom of glass dipped in flour, flatten to 1/4-inch thickness.
2. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
3. Spread frosting over cookies.

Makes 3 dozen cookies

It's here!

Mandy and I finally started our craft blog. We are going to post all the crafts, sewing, and scrapbooking projects on our new blog. Go check it out!!

Coloring fun

Here are some funny pictures of my kids coloring cards for me. Cam loves crayons, and throwing them all over, but she has started to actually color now. Addi also loves to color and I think she colors all day long. I love how she draws people, they are very cute!

My kids rule the house

So I fell asleep on the couch, by accident, and my kids had free range of the house while I was sleeping. This is what I woke up to...

Continues on...

continues on in the hallway

And ends in their room.
I think they got out every toy that is in the house!!

Oh Caemlyn!

I was sleeping in my nice cozy bed this morning until Addison woke up me and said "Mommy come quick, Caemlyn has put poopy everwhere." Now that is a great wake up call! I went into the girls room and there is naked Caemlyn, messy diaper next to her and some nice surprises for me all over the crib. I think I might start duck taping her diaper shut!!!

Addi's new do

While my sister was still here, I decided to take Addison to get her haircut. She insists on wearing it down all the time and it is always in her face. So I was getting a little tired of her hair being crazy. Mandy and I had to convince Addison to get her haircut and tell her over and over again that it doesn't hurt. I don't know why she was scared, she has been getting haircuts since she was 3 months old. Here are some pictures from that adventure!

BEFORE - BACK

Addi cut about 10 inches off of her hair and was able to donate it to Locks of Love. I thought that was really cool.

After Addi got her haircut, she told me "Mommy, my hair isn't in my face anymore. I can see."

Sister Vacation!

Ben is awesome and watched the two girls while I went on vacation with two of my sisters. (My other two sisters, Jenn and Sharon, were very missed!) Marjory, Mandy, and I drove to Placentia, CA to stay with my grandparents. It was the first time I left both of the girls for a week (I did cry a little bit when I left). We had so much fun and it was great to be able to spend time together. We got a little lost on all those California freeways; we relaxed at the beach; enjoyed Disneyland and California Adventure; visited the fancy stores at Rodeo Dr; went to Hollywood and the Chinese theater; went mini-golfing; and played Skip-Bo every night. Marjory even put up with me and Mandy's picture taking madness. It was really nice to visit with my grandparents and spend time with them.

It was a nice break away from everyday life, but I am glad to be back home with Ben, Addi, and Cam. The girls had a blast with Ben and Grandpa Singley while I was gone. They got to watch lots of movies, stay dirty, and go on long bike rides.

My sewing machine is fixed!!

My sewing machine has been broken for months now and I keep finding all these cute things to try and sew. So I finally decided to try and fix it myself. Yeah...it worked!! So I made Addi a dress today. She is very excited since she loves dresses. I got the idea from the pillow case dresses that people keep making. But, I did not have any cute pillow cases so I just took the same idea with fabric that I had.

The link below is the tutorial that I used on how to sew it together.

Camping!!

We took Caemlyn and Roxie on their first camping trip. We went up to Mt Lemmon and camped at Rose Canyon Lake. It was really nice. We had a huge campsite and nobody was around us. Everyone had fun. We walked around the lake, went hiking, and relaxed. Caemlyn did not like walking on the uneven surface and kept tripping on every rock and branch. The weather was also really nice. Addison had so much fun and cried when we started to pack up and leave.

And we are off!
