My cute fashion diva

Addison loves picking out her own outfits and sometimes picks out some good ones :) She loves her new hat that I bought for .99 cents at the Children's Place and has been wearing it everywhere!

Addison is sporting her new purple hat. She is also wearing a cute summer dress with her orange monkey shirt and pink leggings with flowers underneath. And to top off the outfit, she has her pink crocks on. Love my fashion diva!! (And yes, she did go out in public in this outfit)

TFD Family Picnic

We went to a fire department family picnic today. We had lots of fun. The girls loved the jumping castle and spraying the hose.

It's fun being pregnant!

We had another ultrasound on Wednesday. It was really cool to see the baby. The ultrasound was so detailed, baby Brooklyn didn't really look like an alien baby anymore, she looked like a real baby now. We could see her nose, eyes, mouth, and chubby cheeks. The technician told us that she has lots of hair already, just like my other kids. She is still in the 50th percentile and growing right on track. Everything is going well!

Here is the fun day that I had yesterday!! This is a long story, you don't have to read it :)

Yesterday, I had a regular doctor's appointment. The doctor said that everything looks good and the baby is doing great. Usually the baby's umbilical cord has two arteries and one vein, but Brooklyn's umbilical cord only has one artery and one vein. We found this out at our very first ultrasound appointment a few months ago. It's not a big deal, the doctor just monitors the baby more closely to make sure that she doesn't get too small and is growing on track (that is why we are getting an ultrasound once a month). Since she only has one artery instead of two, my doctor wants me to come in twice a week and run a stress test with the baby. So no big deal, I get to sit there for 30 minutes while the machine tracks her heart beat. They decided to start doing the test yesterday since I was there already. I had both my kids with me, but that's ok. The nurses were really nice and gave them some things to do while I was doing the test. I guess I was having contractions during the whole test, I only felt two of the contractions. My doctor decided to send me over to Triage to make sure that the contractions were not causing pre-term labor. So, with my two kids, I drove over to the hospital.

I decided to call Ben to come get the kids because they would not just sit there nicely anymore, but I could not get a hold of him. Pet peeve: Not being able to get a hold of my husband when I really need to talk to him...so annoying!! I called him like 20 times in a row and still no answer. There should be an answer since he is at home. By this point, I am starting to stress out. I go into the women's center at the hospital and the receptionist told me that I can't go in with my kids. I finally decided to call my sister to see if she can come sit with my kids in the waiting room. As soon as my sister answers the phone, I lost it. I had a meltdown in the middle of the waiting room. So embarrassing!!

Then the receptionist comes over and takes my kids for me while I get checked-in. My brother-in-law is on his way to watch my kids for me. And all three of us is still trying to get a hold of Ben. And on top of all this, I didn't have my insurance card on me...nice! Joseph finally got a hold of Ben and told him "Katie is going into labor, get to the hospital." Which was not true, no emergency, I just needed him to get the kids. Ben and his Dad drove to the hospital and by the time they got there, I was already in the traige. The receptionist was so nice and watched my girls for me until Ben and his Dad got there. I got my tests done and no pre-term labor; they sent me home. It wasn't so bad, just the meltdown was very embarrassing!

I was not expecting all of that to happen. I was suppose to go to the doctor and then to storytime at the library with the girls. The rest of the day went well. Ben's Dad was nice and went home with the girls after the hospital while Ben and I went out to lunch. And then he babysat for us that night while we went and saw 'Star Trek'.

Hair do's and Face painting

I came across this blog Piggies 'N Ponies. Super cute hair do ideas for little girls. I decided to try one out.
Then we went to a birthday party and the girls got their faces painted. They both loved it and had lots of fun.
