Brooklyn turns 1!

Back in July....my baby girl turned 1! Brooklyn loved opening presents and discovering new toys. She was not sure about the cake, but once she tried it, she loved it!

Her own special cake with sticky white frosting of course!
Stuffing her face
Super happy!

Trip to California!

Since Ben was in medic class and we never saw him, the girls and I went on a trip to California to visit my mom. My mom was so nice to fly to Phoenix and help me drive to San Francisco. It was a lot of fun. On the drive home, my A/C went out and my mom was able to experience the true desert life. She was not impressed!

Addison is such a Daddy's girl and missed Ben so much. She wore his firefighting shirt every night.

Phoenix zoo and Firefighter Museum

We went to the Phoenix zoo and right next to it is a firefighter museum. We had to stop and see it!

Hanging with Auntie Marjory

While Ben left me to go hiking for five days, (you can find that post here) Marjory and I hung out a lot. We took the girls to the zoo and had a sleepover. It was a lot of fun and made the days go by faster while Ben was gone.

Ben's adventure!

Ben left me for five days to go hiking and torture himself :) He went with his Dad and a bunch of people from his medic class. He came back with swollen legs, scratches, sunburned, and bruised. I still do not understand why someone would want to hike for five days out in the wilderness?! Crazy!
